Those new to chartering may have concerns about, seasickness, booze cruises
or being caught out in a gale. No one wants any of the above and all can
be avoided.
The coastguard issue up to the minute, accurate, local maritime weather
reports. Our days will be planned around these reports. If the weather turns
inclement, a day spent cruising upriver or sightseeing may be the preferred
option.
The coastal passages are planned to be short and within sight of land. A
friendly harbour should never be more than 90 minutes away.
Don't worry if you have never sailed before. Most modern charter yachts
can easily be handled by one or two experienced sailors. Part of our job
is to allocate simple set tasks to crew members ensuring the smooth running
of key manoeuvres. One of us will also be on hand to instruct anyone interested
in some of the basic techniques of sailing and navigation.
If all you want to do is sunbathe on the fordeck, that's fine … it’s
your yacht, enjoy it.
